Automatic Assembly Lines

The Atlantic computerised assembly line optimises insulated glass unit production, seamlessly handling double and triple glazed units in automatic mode, with options for semi-automatic and wash-only modes for shaping and non-assembly tasks.

Features

  • Whole line is PLC computer controlled
  • Roller press is also PLC controlled detecting glass size prior to pressing, achieving a uniform seal
  • Suitable for soft and hard coat applications
  • Semi-automatic mode: Overhead bridge not used and second pane of glass is accompanied by hand for shaped units
  • The washer can be used on its own if required
  • Maximum glass size on above line 2800mm
  • Line requires 63 Amp 3 phase, compressed air, mains water
  • Double and Triple Glazing assembly functions.
  • Options

  • 1600mm or 2000mm heights
  • Line without washer can be fitted to existing 4 & 6 brush machines if they have inverter drives driven outfeed racks
  • Short line which excludes sections 6 & 7 is available for spacer bar type users
  • Larger rack sizes can be ordered to increase the maximum glass sizes
  • Tilt tables and extra conveyors are available for the line
  • 1600mm, 2000mm or 2500mm wash/assembly height
  • Sequence with line in automatic operation

    a) Glass for IG unit fed through six brush washer (2)

    b) The first piece of glass stops at the end of the auto assembly
    station (4)

    c) The second piece of glass stops at the end of conveyor (3)

    d) The operator manually places the pre-butylated spacer frame onto the first piece of glass using horizontal and vertical references.

    e) The operator then pushes a button that calls for the second piece of glass. The assembly station drops back and the horizontal bridge (4a) drops down to support the second piece of glass as it is accelerated through to form a glass pair.

    f) The paired glass automatically leaves rack (4) to (5), leaving the assembly rack free for the next unit coming through.

    g) The paired glass is sensed and pressed in the vertical and leaves the press via conveyor (7)
