Atlantic Provides Solution to Problem with Large Glass Panes at London Architectural Glass

When London Architectural Glass came to Atlantic to provide a washing and handle solution to produce IG Glass Panels 4mtr x 3mtr we were more than happy to produce the high spec equipment that they required.

The brief for the vertical washer was to wash clean and dry glass to IG standard for the most delicate soft-coated glass and for thicknesses ranging from 3-19mm. The washer needed to wash to a height of 3mtr and process glass as long as 4mtr. The handling of the glass from the vertical to the horizontal would require a substantial safe tilting table with the facility to allow a silicon seal to be applied once in the horizontal.

The design team at Atlantic did not compromise on component scale or component quality achieving a washer that comfortably deals with the load and quantity but with no compromise on glass quality. The hydraulic transmission on the large 4mtr x 3mtr tilt table ensures a solid, safe drop and lift action when dealing with potentially extremely heavy glass panels.

All the equipment was manufactured and installed prior to Christmas 2019 ready for a new start for London Architectural in their new manufacturing facility at Waterway Park, Hayes, Middlesex.
